Working Together

Stacey Kertsman, Founder.

Fostering cultures of equity and inclusion (and innovation!) requires an effective growth mindset for everyone.  Communities that work with us leave our time together knowing how to cultivate cultures of belonging by:

  • Leading with curiosity

  • Understanding positionality

  • Engaging with humility

  • Understanding and identifying equity-based values

  • Articulating mission-driven growth

  • Committing to and sharing accountability for a collective vision for equity and inclusion

About

Diverse communities thrive when difference is an asset and curiosity about others an expectation.

THE PROCESS

Working together with you, our custom DEI programming develops a sustainable and inspiring culture of engagement and community building.

  • DEI inspires curiosity, strengthens teams, sustains innovative collaborations, fosters individual creativity, and creates an environment where people thrive and love to learn and work.

  • DEI reveals opportunities because it uncovers the concerns of diverse learners, employees, customers and business partners and builds stronger bridges with them.

Here’s the unanticipated catch: Feeling included in a diverse and equitable environment doesn’t mean you always feel comfortable and settled! It does mean you feel inspired and committed to the journey ahead!

"Change moves at the speed of trust."

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

I have had the honor and the pleasure of working with Stacey at Castilleja for the past 7 years. To me, she exemplifies leadership in all aspects of her work. She has a clear vision and at the same time invites ideas, inputs and suggestions for improvement. She empowers others around her, including teachers and students, to take on leadership roles, to learn and to grow. When speaking in front of the whole school community, she is captivating in her ability to connect with her audience and open their hearts and minds to new ideas. Moreover, she is able to design meaningful and engaging learning experiences for both students and adults in a whole range of settings including (but not limited to) the classroom, workshops, and international trips. Working with Stacey has been a genuine pleasure as well as professionally fulfilling.
